infograph2_portThis started out as just an attempt to work with something kind of unusual. Our assignment was to design something around a piece of real information. I found a bizarre and somewhat out of the way study. Though I didn’t start this design having in mind to make a social statement, it never the less does bring to mind topics disparate social roles and the objectivity of human life, and the irony  of the last laugh (so to speak) of natural process.

Cheeseman

cheesmanMy cheeseman poster is by far the most enjoyable of all my school projects to date. The directive was simple. Take a package, any package, and use any elements to make a new design. My result is a conspiracy laden example of what processed food is creating in our society. I personally love this one, and look forward to some free time where I can do more of this type of work on my own.

PrintThese were designed for a school project where we were given three types of businesses (fashion, coffee shop, and radio station) and then assigned one of five random objects or things. I was give dinosaurs. The task was to somehow incorporate our object into a logo for the type of company. This was my result.

Undergraduate Research Conference

undergraduateDesign for program cover of the Annual Undergraduate Research and Scholarship Conference at Boise State University. I feel like my most successful designs develop from my natural inclination to be critical. This project evolved from my desire to express the negative aspects of university academics. While the university experience builds a solid foundation, I feel that often people involved in university academics take themselves way to seriously, think too highly of there own intellectual powers, and paradoxically at the same time dumb down the educational experience for the student. This design was my culmination of bringing all those ideas together.
